Object – Purpose
The "Digital and soft skills in the educational sciences" is aimed at contributors to the learning process in general. The range of topics discussed concerns both the cultivation of abilities and skills of the participants of the learning process themselves, as well as their preparation to transmit through education the key social demands regarding both digital and soft skills.
The "Digital and Soft Skills in Educational Sciences" aims to enhance the professional profile of trainers and educators and to bring reform dynamics to the learning process. It looks to shape the intention and develop the ability to exploit the new technologies by the actors of the learning process, in a way that is interconnected with the parallel cultivation of soft skills, in a dialogic relationship.
From the overview of the study offer in our country, it is found that the combined subject discussed by the specific master is absent from the study programs of both university departments and those covered by basic education. In particular, there is a deficit at undergraduate level regarding the training of students of relevant university departments around the issues of soft skills on the one hand and digital skills on the other. Also, a multitude of research data testifies to the feeling of the contributors of the learning process, for insufficient knowledge in matters concerning the way of utilizing digital media in the learning process, while the necessity for their relevant training around the specific subject is also emphasized. The necessity of establishing the specific master is established, as it addresses a field that does not overlap with the current offer of subjects from other existing master in our country. Specifically, in the three departments of Early Childhood Education and Care, a single postgraduate study program is offered, of a different subject, with a limited number of admissions, and recent operation. For this reason, there is an urgent need to offer a master that focuses on the interests of the graduates of the relevant departments. As for the topic related to "soft skills", only one master's degree related to biomedical sciences, which does not pertain to the sciences of education, is found to be operating.
The teaching of the courses is directed towards the active involvement of the students (seminar structure), so that research, theory and practice are combined. The constant feedback through the evaluation of all teachers is considered to contribute significantly to the continuous improvement during the operation of "Digital and soft skills in the educational sciences". The electives have been selected and developed in a way to allow potential postgraduate students to gain specific expertise in individual areas of "Digital and Soft Skills in the Educational Sciences".
In addition, the two directions, as well as the courses offered in each of them, are designed in a way that allows potential graduate students to choose the scientific area and professional field that interests them the most.
In addition, it should be noted that in order to meet the multiple needs of the potential postgraduate students of master(employees, residents of other areas, etc.), the courses of the program have been designed to be implemented in a limited number of days, in the afternoon hours and mainly Weekends. Also, in this direction, modern and asynchronous forms of teaching will be used, in accordance with the written provisions.
